HONEY BEE HIVE

Grand Oak is home to a thriving hive, an essential part of our commitment to supporting biodiversity and sustainability. Located along the pond path, this hive is a wonderful opportunity to observe these fascinating pollinators in action. We encourage you to take a stroll around the pond and enjoy the serene environment while appreciating the critical role bees play in our ecosystem.

As voted on by tenants at Grand Oak, the Queen Bee's name is....Miss Beehave!

Our bees have their own website! You can sign up to get updates about the hive, see upcoming beekeeper visits that you can attend and sign up for fun bee events taking place during the year. 

Please remember to maintain a respectful distance to ensure the safety of both you and the bees.

BEE HOUSES

Two bee houses are also located along the walking path, providing a unique opportunity to observe the diverse array of bee species native to our area. These bee houses are designed to attract and support various types of bees, offering a safe habitat where they can thrive.​​​​​​​
